Delicious food, I went their once with my family and friend and still remember this place. Food quality and quantity was good. We were very hungry that day every byte of food was very delicious. We tried thali and dosa and both were great in taste. I would love to visit this place once again. Coffee was also very great. I would recommend this place to all Indian food lovers.

Their food is consistently good. Never disappointed in their food. If I had 100k I would go in a completely redo their customer path, take away styrofoam cups, create a better seating arrangement... I could go on. It’s the kind of place that the local Indian community lives and supports. The authenticity is so good that I wish they’d be attractive to Americans. That’s my wish for them! Their sales would booooom!

Decent food portions. Food was too simple, lacked that authentic Indian flavor.

Chole batura is good with channa, Masala tea and coffee is worst...batter should have been better for othappam , chutney is not good ,sambar looks like the meals sambar used for dosa...overall okay experience...

Best Vegetarian Restaurant on the east coast. Do not miss an opportunity to eat here. Simple south indian fare and regular dishes such as chole puri. All great options. Polite efficient staff.

Mostly food is good, especially if you are looking for close to home made food. Chapati could be better if made with whole wheat. Restrooms need maintenance. 4 stars only for the food and not for service or ambiance.

an ook Resturant...a bit on the pricey side but not too much

I'm giving 5 stars purely based on the value for the $ I spent. Most of the food items are worth the price. This is the place, if you want a balance between $ and taste.
sheheryar tariq
Good freshly cooked food. Flavorful and delicious. Portion sizes are ok.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 4 pm and, as expected, it was quiet. The south Indian food is good and inexpensive. The menu is short. It lacks ambience but is not gloomy or a dump either. Too bad they don't have beer.

Simple and straight menu. No wonder people of all cultures come here to have a quick bite. Everything is so good. If you're looking for classic Indian home food, Thali is available too and we absolutely loved it. Last but not the least, I liked their masala tea.

Always great food. If you want to cut waste, bring your own water bottle and utensils. They only provide plastic utensils and styrofoam water cups...

Excellent south Indian vegetarian restaurant. Popular with the locals for good reason. We ordered an idly plate, the masala dosa, and the paneer dosa. All tasted delicious. The mango lasse was very sweet.

Amma veg kitchen is approximately 3 miles from Merrifield, this restaurant is pure vegetarian and good for South Indian food, good taste of Idli, vada, dosa, sambhar, it’s prepared at its own kitchen. Here self service system is prevails, food is provided in disposable, good looking from the hygiene point of view We took the Ras Malai as sweet, unfortunately that was worst while it’s own food was good
Jayant Sethna
Awesome tasting food, absolutely authentic and quick servicecant ask for anything more.

Good Indian restaurant. Some food items were very good (eg. Chana Bhatura) but some others (eg. Ras Malai) were disappointing.

Wife and I just ate here. Everything was amazing... like literally the entire meal / sides was flavorful and delicious!!! Could eat this every day.

Food is always excellent! If you’re vegan, the plain dosa has no ghee (butter) but the flavored ones have it. Uttapam is all vegan though! So are the samosas, but the green sauce is not. Brown sauce is, as is the tasty free soup.
Manan Parikh
Great South Indian food. Pure vegetarian food. Try mysoor masala dosa or onion chilly masala dosa.
Manju Maurya
Good south indian dishes, like dosha
Craig Thackray
The best Dosa I've enjoyed anywhere. It's a hike, but I'm constantly thinking I need to go back. Utilitarian seating, so come for the food

We have been coming to this fast food South Indian restaurant since early 90’s and have enjoyed their many dishes. Good food, clean place and friendly people. Over the decades, they have expanded their place, menu and hours of operation. Food and d healthy and all vegetarian. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Jon Sperry
Amazing food will return when ever I’m in the Area.
Bhairevi Aiyer
The food is really tasty, quite authentic. It is a simple, no frills place which feels homely. The one negative point is they serve some of the hot dishes in styrofoam/ polystyrene which is not v healthy. But that's sadly a culture that's got to change in this country.
Raj Patel
One of the best dosa place to eat around here, food quality is amazing and taste is fabulous. Definitely recommend.
Pavan Kumar
This place may be doing something right since they are in the same location for over 20 years and I remember eating here more than 20 years ago. Service is relatively quick and portion size is reasonable. Restrooms need little attention and need to check on paper regularly. Sambar is warm but not hot as I requested.
Ravindra Babu Alla
This location is way better than the one at herndon. It is cleaner, staff is more courteous, seating is better.
Hifzan Yaqoob
Very reasonable desi restaurant in town.
Pritisha Shrestha
Good food but too much waste due to the use of plastic and styrofoam utensils
Matt DePaso
A low key atmosphere with incredible food, definitely a pillar of great food in Vienna. Add Cutlets (potato and lentil) to your order- the tamarand chutney sauce is a great counter balance!
Vijay Kalle
One of the oldest south Indian places in DC. Not very quiet but good if you want something quick and inexpensive
